Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Aslam
Dr. Muhammad Aslam is an Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Ziauddin University, Karachi, Pakistan. He has done Pharm.D. from Faculty of Pharmacy, Federal Urdu University and subsequently completed Master of Philosophy in Pharmacology (M.Phil. Pharmacology) at the University of Karachi in 2012. He has received Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology (Ph.D. Pharmacology) from University of Karachi in 2016. His primary areas of interest in research are neuropharmacology, neuropsychopharmacology, phytopharmacology, inflammation and toxicology. He has studied the neurobehavioural, neurochemical, anti-inflammatory and toxicological effects of drugs in animal models of anxiety, depression, memory and inflammation. He has authored 24 research articles in various international peer reviewed journals. He has supervised 6 M.Phil. and 18 Pharm.D. research theses. In addition, Dr. Muhammad Aslam has keen interest in scientific writing. He has served as Associate Editor for International Journal of Pharmacological Research. He is working as editorial board/advisory board member and a reviewer in 22 international journals.
