Dr. Borislav Banjac
Assistant Professor of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Seed Production at the Department of Field and Vegetable Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He received his Ph. D. degree in Biotechnology (Agronomy, Genetics) from University of Novi Sad in 2015, his M. Sc. degree in Genetics of Wheat from Faculty of Agriculture, Novi Sad in 2008, and his bachelor’s degree in Pedology (Recultivation of Anthropogenic Soil) from same Faculty in 2007. He is broadly interested in the plant genetics, especially wheat and small grains, and possibility of wheat growing in abiotic stress conditions. Furthermore, he has been investigating the effects of salinity stress in wheat, through differences in the activity of enzymatic and non-enzymatic components of the antioxidant protection. Also, he studies the genotype/environment interactions, using different biometrics models.
