Dr. Michel Mainguenaud
Prof. Mainguenaud is an engineer in computer science (Institute Informatique d'Entreprise, 1985, now ENSIIE, http://www.ensiie.fr/). He prepared his Ph. D at INRIA-Rocquencourt in France and received it at the Pierre et Marie Curie University (Paris, France, 1989). He was the head of the Architecture of Information Systems department at the Institute National des Sciences Appliquées Rouen (2002-2003) - http://www.insa-rouen.fr. He was the CEO for education (2004-2005). He was the director of the CNRS/GDR2340 SIGMA (2005-2008) – a federation of multi-disciplinary teams all over France (mainly in computer science and geography) actually named MAGIS (https://gdr-magis.imag.fr/). Since 2006 , he is the Director of P3 unit (Pedagogy by Projects) an ISO 9001-2008.certify research and development entity of the Architecture of Information Systems department. His current research domains are spatial databases, query languages and modeling tools for geo-spatial data. Education : Prof. Mainguenaud complete his Ph.D (computer science) form the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris, France).Experience : He was a junior and then senior researcher in France Telecom. Then he joined the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées – Rouen as a Professor. His main domains are multi media database and geographic information science. Publication : Int.
