Dr. Farrukh Jamal
Dr. Farrukh Jamal is Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad, India. He has over 16 years of teaching experience and more than 20 years of research experience in the area of biochemistry which includes reproductive biochemistry, plant proteins & enzymes in waste water treatment and insect pest management of agriculturally important food crops. Associated with mentoring students of Biochemistry at Master’s level his research interest includes designing strategies / approaches in purifying and characterizing inexpensive peroxidases from easily available natural resources which could provide an insight into overcoming the limitations in current wastewater treatment strategies. His contribution also includes characterizing novel defense proteins / proteinacious protease inhibitors present in plants. Dr. Jamal has several independent projects, participated in several seminars and conferences and published his work in internationally acclaimed books and journals. He has been bestowed with fellowship from CSIR, India.
